While I wait for the installation of a new bar inside a client’s home, I am staring out a picture window on the cusp of getting a pair of gorgeous curtains to frame them. Since this project is not quite ready to share, here are some favorite images of floor length variety. In my opinion, I feel like the fastest way to incorporate some glamour and a little softness into a space is to hang curtains to the floor.
After seeing the film I Am Love last Friday, I say run, don’t walk to see this movie. The plot is a bit caught up in aristocratic snobbery; but go to escape into its beautiful cinematography and jaw dropping interiors from the family’s home, Villa Necchi Campiglio. Since 2008, the villa has been open to the public as a museum. We want to go!

Nicki and I took a well deserved break out of the city this weekend to the beaches of Long Island. Nothing inspires us more than a fresh change of scenery and some good old summer sun. Here are some images that make me want to pack my bags and head for the coast.
Inspiration comes from everywhere–including beneath your feet! Last week, Nicki and I came across the most gorgeous chevron floor at NYC’s LV Floors. If we had the chance to redo our floors, this triangular shape that points up or more often, down would be first our list.
Lighting has been on our minds this week. For us, ambient lighting is must in any interior space. It’s softer, warmer, and let’s face it more romantic. Check out a few finds that caught our eyes:
