Bi-Coastal Scouting

As most of you know, we have very special place in our heart for Los Angeles. It’s hard not to with sunny skies and weather in the 70s! Last weekend, I (Callie, here) swapped coasts and headed west for the California Gift Show. Here are a few diamonds in the ruff from the land of giftable goodies.

Why not….?

Our mantra to clients is simple: your home can be whatever you want it to be. And certainly there is no shortage of unique and interesting pieces from which to make that happen. Here are some recent finds we think would be brilliant just about anywhere you put them.

VaVaVoom! Imagine walking into an entry way and being greeted by this piece!

Or how about these for the living room?!

Ah, the ever wonderful world of Fornasetti. Who wouldn’t be happy to have these anywhere? Bedside tables perhaps?

We admit it: we have a bit of an old school bar obsession.

These beauties would add interest to any room.

Dangers Ahead

The internet is scary place…especially, when we spend all day trolling the ethers in search of beautiful things. Recently, I came across the most amazing collection of obsession-worthy jewels from Erstwhile Jewelry. Owner J.S. Klusner scours the globe for rare one-of-a-kind pieces everything from 9th century Victorian, turn of the century Edwardian, French Art Nouveau & Deco, and 40s retro. Find his coveting pieces online or by appointment only here.

Birds of a Feather…

I’ll (Nicki here) admit it: I’m a bit of a bird lover and wherever I go I’m always listening & looking for birds. It makes for a bit of ribbing from family and friends who can’t help but tease me about my long-standing obsession. Here’s a recent article in the New York Times that brings together two loves: India and birds. What’s not to love?

Teal, umber, chocolate brown, a bit of persimmon…perfection!

I don’t even know what to say about just how fantastic this guy is. Those hot pink legs alone are enough to make me fall over!

Loving the color green as I do, this little fellow makes me want to create a dress in all these hues and put on a big swipe of black kohl eyeliner.

I’d like to paint my kitchen the gorgeous terracotta color of his wings.

Yes, I own this and try to make anyone visiting me watch it! I promise, it’s worth watching again and again.

On the Hunt

The New Year is in full swing and we are off and running around town shopping for clients new and old. It’s FREEZING here in NYC but the long days of hitting the pavement are paying off. Look at some of our finds below!
