What We’re Listening To…
Another love we both share is music. The first thing each of us do in the morning is turn our IPods on. While our musical tastes vary, we talk about new discoveries and old favorites all the time. Here is what we’re tapping our toes to at the moment.
NICKI’S LIST:

Madly in love with the White Lies.

My favorite of Miles Davis’ work.

I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin and this album is in constant rotation.

Besides Stephen, Damian is my other favorite Marley.

It doesn’t get much better than Jimmy Reed.

Maybe it’s because I lived in Charleston for many years, but I never tire of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess–and particularly love Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass’ version.
CALLIE’S LIST:

I can’t stop listening to the 80s pop throwback, Francis and the Lights. Officially obsessed!

Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly, is 74 and still making hits with rock and roll’s super star Jack White. This is a party for your ears!

I’ve been a huge fan of Cut Copy for years ever since seeing these guys at a day show on a side street during South By Southwest. Their new album Zonoscope is pretty darn good. It releases tomorrow.

James Blake’s debut album is buzzing all over the blogospheres. I have been listening for weeks and can bet this guy is gonna be huge!
