Paradise Found…and it looks like this!

Ever since traveling to South Africa our hearts have been stuck on going back. It’s just one of those rare places that you always want to go back to, no matter how long your ‘must-go’ travel list might be. The combination of the breathtaking landscape, the dazzling white lines of the Cape Dutch architecture, the verdant bounty of vineyards that yield some the most delicious wines we’ve ever tasted, and the warm and welcoming people who live there, all make for an intoxicating combination.

A wonderful example of what makes the long journey so worth the effort is the Babylonstoren, which opened their doors in 2010 after a meticulous renovation and restoration. Situated in the middle of the Cape Winelands in the Drakenstein Valley, the resort sits on a beautiful property replete with views of the gorgeous working garden and grounds that guest are encouraged to roam about.

The interiors strike a nice balance with a minimal, yet cozy, decor that allows the beauty just out the door to shine. No point in competing with that.

We think everything about this place is perfection. Now all we need is a couple of weeks off and a plane ticket!
