Searching for Sugarman
We saw “Searching for Sugarman” a wonderfully moving documentary last weekend and had to spread the word. Based on the incredible true-life story of the 1970s musician Sixto Rodriquez, the film reveals the dark mystery of his conflicting fame and obscurity. We’ve been huge fans of his smooth as butter voice and folky, blues-like storytelling music for years now and even got the chance to see him play a small venue here in the city. Little did we know though about his insanely perplexing life story. Put this doc on the top of your must-see list. And make sure you download his album Cold Fact asap! You won’t be disappointed!
