Photographer Dillon Marsh…

It is no secret we love photography and it’s a happy day when we discover a new photographer. Such is the case with South African photographer Dillon Marsh’s work. We are drawn to his stark landscapes and are fascinated by the way he isolates a particular subject and creates a series out of them–power lines, dead trees, cell phone towers–are just some of the things he masterfully captures. And oh the weaver birds nests…such incredible houses they make. Would love to see those in person. Here are a few of our favorite photographs from his site.

Nick Olsen for Lee Jofa

Last week, we celebrated the unveiling of our dear friend and talented designer Nick Olsen‘s winter blues busting room for the Lee Jofa’s showroom in the D&D Building. He is a master at mixing color, pattern and texture to create rooms that are full of life and fun. This one brought an instant smile to our faces. We could not be more proud of you, Nick! Congratulations, and three cheers all around!

Patterson, Flynn & Martin’s Mary McDonald Collection

We were immediately smitten last week when we stumbled upon Mary McDonald‘s new Abaca rug collection for Patterson, Flynn & Martin showroom in the D&D Building. With their natural aesthetic and their killer graphic geometric patterns (very David Hicks), we can’t wait to use these rugs atop a stained concrete floor or in a sophisticated beach house.
