Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. These two titles by Osa Johnson are so fab we’re ogling, buying and adding them to our bookshelves ASAP!

Last night we attended the opening gala of the Antiques, Art, & Design Show at NYC’s Park Avenue Armory (thanks to our friend Anna for the photo). While the packed house made it somewhat challenging to get great photos of everything we wanted to, we did manage to snag a couple of quick pictures of a few of the things we loved.

This was probably our favorite piece in the show. Mounted on the wall (I think the dealer said it was Paul Evans), this brass and wood brutalist piece knocked us out!

Rugs, beautiful, HUGE, rugs. This dealer had some gorgeous ones….!

We booth immediately went “ohhhh” when we saw this beauty: the patina, the feline heads and feet, the delicate lines–perfection!

We also thought this sconce, while very simple, was fantastic.

One of the best parts of the evening was getting to see our dear–and uber stylish–friend Brooks Morrison Tyree from Moore and Giles. Here she is giving a tour of The Woody, a collaborative project designed by the talented and ever charming Brad Ford.

Jim Meehan of PDT collaborated with Brad on the Woody and created the evening’s best drink, the Pink Flamingo (grapefruit, fresh squeezed lime, and Banks rum) that had everyone lining up and keeping the super sweet bartender Jeff busy all night. We’re really excited for Jim’s PDT Cocktail Book to come out in October (he’s also done a brilliant bar keep bag with Moore and Giles). A fun evening all the way around!
