Brimfield Adventures

Last week, we headed up to Brimfield, MA for one of the East Coast’s largest outdoor flea markets. With miles and miles of vendors spread across green fields, we found enough great finds to spread over a couple of posts. Take a peek!

With a little work, these gorgeous sconces could be to die for.

Look at the colors in this rug! The obsession continues!

This guy used to be a crown jewel from a Manhattan hotel. If we were working on one, we’d give him a new home!

The perfect proportions for a side chair.

This is THE color for leather.

This would make a fabulous bar, entry piece or TV stand.

Speaking of bars, this good looking guy screams classic Americana. Look at those finials!
Stayed tuned for more finds tomorrow!

Scouting in LA

We are back in a still chilly NYC, but with sunny Los Angeles on our minds. The weather was brilliant, the food-delicious, and the scouting-hands down amazing. Our favorite discovery on this trip was Wertz Brother’s Antique Mart. Here are some of our favorite pieces from the store:

This reverse painted glass server has a faux-marble finish. Gorgeous!

This massive mirror had a frame that was about 12 inches deep. So fantastic!

Nicki found one of her most favorite things ever…an unbelievable brass bird sconce. We have never seen anything so spectacular!

Now this is a fantastic (and different) way to mount antlers! Why didn’t we think of this?

Callie’s sizing up a mirrored side table. Like that little jewel of a box in her hand? Look out for it in future news!

1st Dibs in NYC

1stDibs, the go-to online vintage furniture marketplace, just went from virtual paradise to the coolest (and most upscale) antique mall ever. Taking over the entire 10th floor of the New York Design Center, 53 dealers from the US, Canada, Paris, and London have filled over 33,000 square feet with pure furniture heaven. The added bonus? NYDC’s owner and our good friend Jim Druckman opened the new space to the public on Saturdays! Check out the goods at 200 Lexington Avenue at 33rd Street in NYC.

Bi-Coastal Scouting

As most of you know, we have very special place in our heart for Los Angeles. It’s hard not to with sunny skies and weather in the 70s! Last weekend, I (Callie, here) swapped coasts and headed west for the California Gift Show. Here are a few diamonds in the ruff from the land of giftable goodies.

Trip the Light Fantastic

It’s holiday party season. From dinner to cocktail parties, nothing makes a statement more than a knock out chandelier. Here are some favorites that will brighten any festive get together!
