Antiqued brass & perfectly worn-in cognac leather are a perfectly patinaed pairing that we tend to fall for over and over. While this combo has been on our radar for a while, we have a feeling this is going to be a lasting trend.

Falling in Love: Schumacher’s Fall Collection

We don’t know what is in the water over at Schumacher this fall, but as the weather turns cooler we can not get enough of their latest wallcoverings and fabric designs. The colors are spot on with their vibrant hues and the patterns make us want to redo our own houses! Take a look at some of their goodness:

Hampton’s Designer Showhouse: Tilton Fenwick

On Wednesday, we took a road trip out to Watermill, NY for a visit to the Hampton’s Designer Showhouse and to see the beautiful work of our great friends and amazingly talented designers Anne and Suysel of Tilton Fenwick.

The ladies transformed what was an awkward basement space into a serene, comfortable and useable space perfect for entertaining and relaxing. Masters of color, they infused the room with pops of cerulean blue, olive green and National Geographic yellow. We love the way they expertly mixed Asian, Hollywood Regency and natural elements…especially those horn chairs (OMG, we covet them).

Have to say, it was our favorite room in the house hands down!

Let’s Go Shopping: Stamford, Connecticut

Before the July 4th holiday, we made our way through a mini monsoon to Stamford, Connecticut. Home to the fitting title, “Antique Capitol of America”, we found gems a plenty at places like the Antique and Artisan Center, Hamptons Antique Galleries and Greenwich Living Antiques. Santa Monica Airport Antiques Mart

While in LA, Sunday mornings are our designated flea market days. The Santa Monica Airport Antiques Market took place the weekend we were there. We found a gorgeous standing lamp for a client and some amazing vintage dresses and kimonos for ourselves. Check out some of our favorite finds!
