A few good leather chairs (plus one amazing day bed)…

We’ve been on the hunt for some leather side chairs for a client recently on one of our favorite websites to source pieces from, 1st Dibs, and there are so many great ones we had to share. We never cease to be amazed at the wonderful range of shapes and styles there are out there to chose from–there truly is something perfect for any aesthetic or direction you’d want to go. Here are some of our favorites.

And We’re Off…Happy 2012!

We are back to work after two weeks spent with our families and dear friends enjoying the holiday festivities. The past year has brought us much to be thankful for: fantastic clients, interesting projects, fun buying trips, challenges that have made us better at what we do…and we’re looking forward to seeing what 2012 has in store for us! In looking back at the hundreds of photos we’ve each taken over the year of everything that has inspired us-or that we just loved-here are some of our favorite images from the past year. Clearly we love nature in all its many forms….can you tell!? Throw in some cute puppies in the window, great art, to-die-for furniture, a trip to the beach, yummy food and drink and we’re pretty much as happy as we can be. Here’s to a healthy and prosperous year ahead!

All For A Good Cause

A few months ago we shared pictures of The Great American Woody created in collaboration with our good friends at MOORE & GILES, the brilliant mixologist Jim Meehan, and the fantastically talented Brad Ford.

The Great American Woody is now being auctioned off as a part of DIFFA’s “30 for 30” auction on charitybuzz.com. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to support DIFFA’s groundbreaking work in the fight against AIDS. This auction will close Monday, December 19th.

We hope you’ll take a look and…if you purchase the Woody…we’re looking forward to drinks. Cheers!

Brilliant Little Invention

How great is this?! A pen called Slobproof that you can fill with whatever paint color–be it walls or trim–you have in your home. So instead of lugging out the messy and awkward paint can any time you need to do light touchups, you simply use this handy little pen instead. We’re ordering them for ourselves and our clients ASAP!

The World at Your Fingertips…

It seems like no matter where you are in the world, the internet brings the power to purchase pretty much anything you desire without leaving the comfort of your sofa. We recently ran into a friend wearing the most gorgeous piece of jewelry, which she told us she’d purchased on Etsy. So, to our computers we went. And let’s just say, we’re finding it more addictive than Ebay. We love that you can find and buy things without the hassle of bidding. And we discovered so many talented people making everything from jewelry to shoes to painted antlers. Below are some of our favorite finds.

We love everything Rachel Rose makes!

This waxed canvas bag with leather handles is both functional and looks fantastic. Perfect for lugging around all our stuff.

Our color crush continues. This pair of lamps would be beautiful in an entry way or on bedside tables.

Madly, deeply in love with this vintage Moroccan rug.

Never ones to shy away from an antler, or two or hundred–we think these painted antlers are great fun.

This antique storage trunk would be brilliant as a coffee table.

Simply fantastic, we even like the orange pink color on this Chinoiserie dining table set.

The hours we spent searching on Etsy was worth it for this find alone. All we ever want and look for is the perfect, simple summer sandal. This Miami based company is our new go-to destination for sandals from here on out!

This antique hand colored shell print from the 1770′s just needs a great frame and would look great in a grouping or alone.

This seller has the most beautiful selection of well-priced suzani and ikat pillows. This is one of our favorites.

One of our favorite jewelry designers on Etsy. This necklace is almost worth fighting over. Almost.
